Cutting to the drawing
Provide dimensions and quantities for each panel. Use a dimensioned drawing for shaped glass and identify the reference edges or points needed to interpret it.
Drilling and cut-out details
Show hole sizes, locations and any cut-outs on the drawing. Include the related fittings where relevant, and discuss processing details before confirming the glass construction.
Edge polishing and visible finishes
Describe the required edge finish and identify exposed edges. If appearance is critical, include a reference or sample requirement so expectations can be discussed before ordering.
Prepare an unambiguous drawing
Use one approved revision for the order and make the following details easy to identify.
- Units, panel references and quantities
- Width, height, thickness and shape
- Hole and cut-out positions
- Edge treatment and visible surfaces
- Glass construction, orientation and drawing revision
